After researching ideas for our film trailer, i came up with several criteria that was going to be important for our horror trailer to be successful.
  • The fear of the unknown: It is important to build tension to create atmosphere and to make the viewer seem helpless in the situation.
  • Leave the viewer's guessing: The idea that the viewer doesn't know what is going to happen next is the key to a good horror.
  • Involve your worst nightmare: To get your viewers believing in what they are seeing.
  • Keeping your viewer's interested: No long pauses where action is bleak; scenes need to be quick, sharp and to the point in a trailer to attract audiences.
