My Partner and I have decided both to think of seperate story lines for our Horror film trailer, then to discuss our ideas together, continuing to our final product. After thought and researching various film trailers, i came up with a story line that i think will fit our potential settings and appeal to our target audience.
The film trailer will start in a 'normal' setting, such as a teenager's bedroom or school, that will show a discussion between a group of friends that are contemplating visiting parts of a derelict Orphange/children's hospital, as a newspaper article has shown recent paranormal disturbances in and around the buildings. The group all decide to visit the hospital at night, were our film trailer will start to show the terror that they begin to face. From this section on, the setting of the hospital will play a major part as it's eerie architecture is a key element in making it appear especially frightening. The group are then faced with a series of chilling experiences that will be shown as flashes in our trailer, enticing our audience into wanting to know more. The trailer will then show each person in the group seperately, concentrating on their particular terror that they are facing personally. Towards the end of our trailer, i would like a certain caption to appear on the screen, where all sound is muted, and the audience can focus on the text. I would like the caption to read "Curiosity got the better of them", with the word 'Curiosity' appearing first then fading into the rest of the text, followed by a chilling scream and an extrememly distressing image, concluded with the name of the film and release date.

This is a draft storyboard that shows a brief explantation of my ideas and potential camera shots that i will look to use in the filming of our trailer.
- The first image shows an establishing shot of the 'haunted buildings' that the group are eager to investigate. This will set the scene for the audience and to show the character's positioning.
- The second image shows a paricular part of the hospital that has tunnel-like qualities. Here i would like a close up of the tunnel with one of the teenagers in the foreground showing an empty tunnel, with the camera quickly moving to show a 'ghostly figure' standing behind our character.
- The third image is simply a close up of a No Entry sign that will show our audience that the building is derelict and that no-one should enter. This also adds an aspect of mystery to our trailer.
- The fourth image shows my interpretation of how i would like our caption to appear on the screen.
- The last few images will be quick shots that will show the panicked group of teenagers and the terror they are facing. The shots will switch from extreme close ups to show facial expressions, to establishing shots of rooms/buildings that will add to the effectiveness.
The order of these images is uncertain and depends on how our storyline will turn out.
